The origin story
Every big idea starts somewhere.
CodeCoursePro didn't start with a business plan, a big team, or a grand vision to change the world. It started with a conversation in a science class—and one student who wanted to learn how to code.
One small beginning. Still unfolding.
How it started
A small conversation became a starting point.
This is the story of an idea taking shape—one step at a time.
Chapter one
The Conversation
A Wednesday afternoon. Science class.
Sometimes, an idea begins in the most unexpected place.
During a science class, Calvin was talking with his teacher. In the conversation, his teacher mentioned one of his students who wanted to learn how to code—but found the available courses too expensive.
The student wanted a free way to learn programming languages and web development, including Python, HTML, and CSS.
It was a small conversation. But it planted the seed for something bigger.
Chapter two
Built for One
The first version of CodeCourse.
About two weeks after fully learning how to code, Calvin decided to do something with that idea.
After the lesson, he created the original CodeCourse name and built its first landing page.
At that moment, the goal was simple: create something for one student who wanted a more accessible way to learn coding.
It wasn't originally a plan to build a big platform. It was a project built around one person's problem.
Chapter three
A Bigger Possibility
What if it could help more people?
After creating the first version, Calvin realized the idea could become something much bigger.
What began as a project for one student had the potential to help many more students discover programming and build things of their own.
The vision began expanding beyond the original landing page.
CodeCourse was eventually renamed CodeCoursePro for legal reasons, marking another step in the project's evolution.
Chapter four
The Story Continues
From one idea to what's next.
CodeCoursePro continues to develop from that original idea: making coding education more accessible and helping students learn to build with technology.
The original project may have grown, but its beginning remains an important part of its identity.
And this is only the beginning of the story.
One student. One conversation. One idea that grew.
A piece of the beginning
Before CodeCoursePro, there was CodeCourse.
Before the platform you see today, there was the original CodeCourse landing page. It was the first public-facing expression of the idea—and a preserved piece of the project's history.

What's next
Every project has a beginning. This is ours.
CodeCoursePro started with the idea that learning to code should be more accessible. What happens next is still being written.
